Acquah

Nicole made her television debut as a guest role in 'EastEnders' for BBC Television, and has also worked with Sky Television, as a lead role in a staged reading of 'Zayla'. She made her feature film debut as Nikki in 'Delirium' alongside Timothy West and directed by Gareth Jones. Nicole has extensive stage credits, including performing alongside Bridgerton star Claudia Jessie in 'Maryland' (Queens Theatre, Hornchurch). Other stage credits include: Alex in 'Way Back When' (tour, Blue Elephant Theatre), the lead role of Cat in 'Anatomy of a Doctor' (Chimera Theatre Co.), Ayeza in 'I, Lord' (Bloomsbury Theatre), 'Reunion' (Theatre Royal Haymarket), Mae Jemison in 'The Glass Ceiling Beneath the Stars' (Untapped Awards nominee, Leeds Playhouse), plus lead roles in 'I Can’t Breathe' (Arcola Theatre), 'She is a Place Called Home' (VAULT Festival), 'For a Black Girl' (Camden People’s Theatre) and the Host in 'Sherlock: The Game is Now', a live experience directed by Nick Moran. Additionally, Nicole has performed as a Spoken Word Artist for Talawa Theatre Company, as Kathe in 'Blade Runner' for Secret Cinema, and at venues such as SSE Wembley Arena and Barbican. Audio credits include BBC Radio. Nicole is also an accomplished playwright and theatremaker, with her solo show 'Sankofa' being directed by Carole Leeming MBE and staged at Curve, Leicester plus a tour in Ghana. Her play 'Caste-ing' was longlisted for the BBC Popocorn Awards, taken on tour, and produced by Nouveau Riche and Paines Plough.
